DESIGNING COST EFFECTIVE PRODUCTS

A design solution has to be developed for a specific problem, where it is first and foremost important to satisfy all 𝗳𝘂𝗻𝗰𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻𝗮𝗹, 𝗾𝘂𝗮𝗹𝗶𝘁𝘆, and especially 𝘀𝗮𝗳𝗲𝘁𝘆 𝗿𝗲𝗾𝘂𝗶𝗿𝗲𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁𝘀 of the customer. In most cases, finding a design solution is not difficult; 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗴𝗿𝗲𝗮𝘁𝗲𝗿 𝗰𝗵𝗮𝗹𝗹𝗲𝗻𝗴𝗲 𝗶𝘀 𝗳𝗶𝗻𝗱𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗮 𝗰𝗼𝘀𝘁-𝗲𝗳𝗳𝗲𝗰𝘁𝗶𝘃𝗲 𝘀𝗼𝗹𝘂𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝘄𝗶𝘁𝗵 𝗵𝗶𝗴𝗵 𝘀𝘂𝘀𝘁𝗮𝗶𝗻𝗮𝗯𝗶𝗹𝗶𝘁𝘆 𝗽𝗼𝘁𝗲𝗻𝘁𝗶𝗮𝗹 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗺𝗶𝗻𝗶𝗺𝗮𝗹 𝗲𝗻𝘃𝗶𝗿𝗼𝗻𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁𝗮𝗹 𝗶𝗺𝗽𝗮𝗰𝘁.
The choice and quantity of material has a major impact on the price of the product. The amount of material used on a product can be influenced by appropriate design. To 𝗼𝗽𝘁𝗶𝗺𝗶𝘇𝗲 𝗺𝗮𝘁𝗲𝗿𝗶𝗮𝗹 𝗱𝗶𝘀𝘁𝗿𝗶𝗯𝘂𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻, we use virtual simulations to simulate realistic loads and calculate the response of the structure.
