Why is lightweight design important?

Regardless of the type of powertrain, the automotive industry is committed to making vehicles as light as possible.

𝗟𝗶𝗴𝗵𝘁𝗲𝗿 𝘃𝗲𝗵𝗶𝗰𝗹𝗲𝘀 𝗰𝗼𝗻𝘀𝘂𝗺𝗲 𝗹𝗲𝘀𝘀 𝗲𝗻𝗲𝗿𝗴𝘆, resulting in lower fuel consumption and a smaller carbon footprint.

There are different ways to reduce the weight of products.

The 1️⃣ first way is through appropriate #lightweight design, as this can have a significant impact on the load capacity of products.
The 2️⃣ second way is by using more 𝗮𝗱𝘃𝗮𝗻𝗰𝗲𝗱 𝗺𝗮𝘁𝗲𝗿𝗶𝗮𝗹𝘀, which can make products lighter for the same loads.
A combination of both is usually used 𝘁𝗼 𝗲𝗻𝘀𝘂𝗿𝗲 𝗮𝗱𝗲𝗾𝘂𝗮𝘁𝗲 𝘀𝘁𝗿𝗲𝗻𝗴𝘁𝗵 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝘀𝘁𝗶𝗳𝗳𝗻𝗲𝘀𝘀.
